All skateboarding decks come in a variety of sizes. It all pretty much depends on personal preference, your size and of course skating style. Width and length are important for all those reasons.

Deck length: 27.2” to 27.6”
These are for young skateboarders usually 5 years old or younger.

Mini
Deck width: 7.0"
Deck length: 28”
These are for young skaters who are 6 to 8 years old.

Mid-size
Deck width: 7.3”
Deck length: 29”
These are for skaters 12  yrs and or older. They are usually 4'5 to 5'2 feet tall but tallnest doesn't really matter.

Well skating style depends on these deck sizes.
7.5" to 8" -  This deck size is great for  skating streets or doing more technical tricks
8.0" to 8.25" - Decks are great  for skating pools, ramps and parks
8.25" and larger - Are better use for skating if you prefer to skate vert, pools, cruising and just going old school.
